Music
Music is an important part of Trinity’s community. There are many opportunities for musicians to share their talents. From singing during services to the numerous concerts and recitals offered throughout the year, music is one of the many things which helps to shape how we live and worship together. We are particularly proud of our Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ. While it is primarily used to accompany singing during worship, recitals are also periodically offered by Aram Basmadjian, Trinity’s Artist-in-Residence and Director of Music, and by other area organists. Originally installed in the mid-1950s, the instrument has recently undergone extensive restoration and repair work, to include replacing the electrical wiring and restoring the console. You can read more about the instrument, including a stop list, on the organ page.
The parish currently supports a traditional SATB choir and a handbell choir. Participation is open to all interested persons. For more information about rehearsal schedules and how you can contribute to this ministry, please contact Aram Basmadjian at 610-867-4741, x306. |
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir sings beautifully each week, leading us into greater praise of God. They sing at the Sunday 10:30 am service year-round, as well as for a number of special services at Christmas and Easter. On Sunday services, the choir sings anthems during the Offertory and communion, and offers strong leadership to congregational song. The Chancel Choir is comprised of volunteer musicians and remunerated Choral Scholars. Together, they make both our choral music and our congregational song joyous and inspiring. |
Trinity Bells
The Trinity Bells were established in 2011. This group of ringers usually meets on Tuesday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am Beginning with a group of people who had no experience ringing, this choir has grown to nine members. It is a fun group of people who work very hard with each other to play as well as possible. With the addition of a three-octave set of Malmark choir chimes along with our three-octave set of Malmark handbells, Trinity Bells has grown into a very fine handbell choir.
