Time to apply for OUTREACH GRANTS
The Outreach Committee distributes outreach grants from Trinity's budget. These small amounts (typically $50-500) are intended either as startup money for new programs and projects or as ongoing support for existing programs.
Successful applicants can usually demonstrate some connection with the parish and are non-profit groups rather than individuals. Successful projects provide "a hand up rather than a handout," helping people to improve their own lives. Two examples: seed money for the Swaziland school project; and ongoing support to Northeast Ministry, a project originally founded by Trinity members.
The Outreach Committee will consider funding requests twice this year. DEADLINE: For the spring cycle, please get your requests in no later than its April meeting, Tuesday, April 24. Decisions will be made at the May 22 meeting. Deadline for the fall cycle will be September 25.
