The Guild

The Guild is an informal helping group operating on an as-needed basis.

The need is usually some kind of emergency and usually involves supplying food. For example, a parishioner who has been taken ill may need meals until he or she is better. Or a funeral is taking place at the church, but no family member can manage a reception afterwards.

Referrals to the Guild can come from the clergy, from the Pastoral Care Committee--of which the Guild is an extension--or from concerned parishioners. Gaby Whittier coordinates the group. Other members are Sandy Casella, Dolores Caskey, Jeanne Deets, Miriam Griffing, Jill Long, Joyce Meinke, Barb Subber, Gloria Tarby, Ann Tracy, Xenia Filipos, Doris Eshbach and Dee Palmeri.
