ABC Quilters

ABC QUILTING MINISTRY, an ecumenical group that started at Trinity, makes hand-made quilts for HIV babies. MANY quilts. The group sews every Monday at 10:00 at Victory House, and members also sew at home. Trinity members are Edith Wilson (610-882-1283), leader, Maggie Land, Doris Schofield, and Gloria Tarby.

Providing love and comfort to babies born with AIDS and crack-cocaine addiction and promoting better understanding of the dilemmas of those living with HIV/AIDS, the Quilters meet weekly at Victory House and, together with the men at the shelter, craft quilts to ship to Philadelphia hospitals.

In addition, many people knit hats and booties for these babies. If you would like to contribute to this worthy cause, and cannot meet with the group, click here for the pattern for the hats and booties. Completed hats and booties may be taken to Trinity at any time.

The quilting group recently shipped out another 21 hand-made quilts destined for HIV babies, a gift of tangible love. A quantity of booties, parishioner-made, accompanied the quilts. The quilters meet Mondays at 10:00 at Victory House. To join, contact Edith Wilson (610-882-1283).
